Alternatively, use a double-boiler by placing water in the bottom pan, gently heat the water, place the ingredients in the top pan; allow to melt and combine thoroughly.
Stir the Vitamin E into the mixture.
Optional: Once melted, add essential oils as desired.
Let cool to room temperature
Add water to a blender
Turn on blender on low
Scoop or pour cooled oil mixture into the blender.
Once all of the oil mixture is added, turn the blender to medium of high speed and allow the oil and water to emulsify.
When all ingredients are completely emulsified, pour into whatever jar or tin you will use for storage. I recommend small mason jars (8 ounce) or glass food containers. Note: I do not recommend pump container because the lotion is a little too thick.
Store in the refrigerator if you won’t be using it up within 3 months. Because this is a natural product, it will not keep fresh as long as commercially prepared, chemically loaded, creams. Discard immediately if the lotion discolours, becomes mouldy or smells badly.
